Regional Cooperation in South Asia: Independent Review
of Bangladesh's Development 2004
Over the past eight years
the Centre for Policy Dialogue (CPD) has been engaged in
producing an Independent Review of Bangladesh's
Development (IRBD) as an annual home-grown alternative
perspective on Bangladesh's development process. The
objective of the IRBD initiative was to expose important
economic and other developmental issues to a scrutiny of
the civil society and to bring response of stakeholders
into the mainstream of public discourse.
CPD has already initiated work on the preparation of
IRBD 2004, the Ninth Review under the CPD's IRBD
programme. The overall theme for IRBD 2004 is Regional
Cooperation. The IRBD 2004 will be divided into two
parts.
