Regional dialogues focus on issues of bilateral and regional interest, and are designed to enhance cultural and economic ties amongst the South Asian countries and to promote the concept of a regional identity. Regional dialogues have been organised on a wide range of themes such as Sharing of Water Resources by South Asian Countries, Bangladesh - India Bilateral Relations on Water Sharing, Political and Security Issues, Modalities of Deepening Economic Cooperation amongst the Members of the SAARC, and on Cultural Cooperation in South Asia. CPD is also collaborating with five South Asian institutions to hold a series of South Asian dialogues. CPD is also one of the founding partner institutions of the recently established South Asia Centre for Policy Studies (SACEPS), an institution addressing regional issues.
