Meeting of CPD Board of Trustees held

The 21st meeting of the Board of Turstees (BOT) of the Centre for Policy Dialogue (CPD) was held at CPD office on Monday. Professor Rehman Sobhan, chairman of CPD, presided over the meeting. Other members of the CPD board— M Syeduzzaman, former finance minister, Professor Mohammad Yunus, managing director of Grameen Bank, Syed Manzur Elahi, former advisor to the caretaker government, Ms Laila Rahman Kabir, former president of Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Fazle Hasan Abed, chairman of BRAC, Anisuzzaman, professor of Dhaka University, Ms Khushi Kabir, NGO activist, Nurul Haq, former member of the Planning Commission, Dr Debapriya Bhattacharya, executive director of CPD – were present at the meeting. Research director of CPD Professor Mustafizur Rahman was present at the meeting on invitation. The meeting reviewed CPD's national, regional and international activities during the year 2003 and the board expressed its satisfaction regarding CPD's performance. The meeting reviewed and endorsed CPD's research and dialogue programme for 2004. The board also approved CPD's revised budget for 2003 and annual budget for 2004, says a press release.
