Programme Associate Narayan Chandra Das presented a paper on Export Demand Function for Bangladesh's Tea: An Application of Cointegration and Phillips-Hansen Fully Modified OLS on June 26, 2004 at the seventh Seminar under CPD's YSSS. By applying two-step Engle-Granger procedure, it was shown that a long-run equilibrium relationship exists among such variables as quantity of exports of tea, export price of tea, international price of tea and income of the partner countries.  The paper came out with some policy suggestions to increase Bangladesh's production and export of tea.
