PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE AND ACHIEVEMENTS

* More than 13 years experience in research and teaching. Currently Research Fellow at the Centre for Policy Dialogue (CPD), Bangladesh. Worked more than 4 years at the International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics, ICRISAT (India and Zimbabwe), 10 years' service at the Bangladesh Rice Research Institute (BRRI) and about one year service at the Bangladesh Institute of Development Studies (BIDS); Adjunct Faculty of the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University, Bangladesh.

*Proven record of scientific excellence and completed research works on sources of agricultural growth, variability in agricultural production, technology adoption, and impacts of improved technologies supported by a publication record as author, and co-author of more than 50 publications including 12 refereed journal articles, 6 book chapters, and 15 conference/workshop papers. Awarded Dr. R T Doshi Prize (2000) by the Agricultural Economics Research Association (India).

*Fully conversant with PC Computers and state-of-the-art database management and economic analysis software including MS-Access, SAS, SPSS, Limdep, and Gams. Familiar with, and have used, econometric tools, mathematical modeling, Geographical Information Systems (GIS), participatory rapid appraisal techniques in my accomplished research.
